Turnitin Change

Our current connection between Turnitin and Canvas is being phased out and as a result, assignments using Turnitin will need to be adjusted to point to a new integration with Canvas.

Our Adjusting Turnitin video provides details about what will need to be adjusted. Our Canvas Faculty Support page in mySWU also provides details on the change and you can find information on workshop sessions that will be offered to go over these changes as well.

Key actions:
  •  If you are teaching a course in our traditional program and wish to use Turnitin for assignments, adjustments will need to be made for your assignments. Please contact the CTE if we can provide any assistance.
  • If you are teaching an AGS course, assignments are being adjusted at the master course level and will not require adjustments on the individual course level. You should still become familiar with the process of adjusting assignments.

The new integration is currently running, so if you want to begin preparing Fall courses or simply take a look at the integration, you will be able to do so. However, as we are preparing support for students related to these changes, you should avoid making changes in any active Summer courses.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us in the CTE.

They have over 80 episodes covering a wide variety of topics related to (as the title so eloquently suggests) the subject of teaching and learning in higher education. You can search for it on your mobile device's podcast player or listen to it on the web via the link above.

Some highlights that I personally recommend:
